Mary Kate’s Take-
It’s that time of year again. Fall is here, and with fall comes HOMECOMING WEEK! Costumes and laughs and memories galore. In order to be top notch for these fantastic theme days, one may think that spending tons of cash is inevitable, but in reality it just takes savvy shopping and a little digging around. You never know what treasure are hiding in the racks at Good Will, or even your parents’ closets! At my school, we had “Rock of the Ages” day, so we were supposed to dress like we were in the 80s, so I raided my mom’s drawers and low and behold, found her Class of 88 shirt and her letter sweater. Also for Roaring 20s day, I wore an old dance costume and tights, and my friend Gloria just wore a pair of khakis, a white shirt, a vest, and a little hat and became a newsy (like a paper boy from the 1920’s). I guess being a pack rat really can pay off.
