Funny story… While out shopping with my friend today I was in one of my favorite stores, Cotton On, and I found a super cute new blue high-low dress for only FIVE dollars! Then later on I went to Jo-Anne fabrics and bought a pattern, fabric, and a zipper to make a dress all adding up to be $32. Someone remind me again why I want to learn to sew clothes? Once the dress is all done though it should be a great addition to my wardrobe. It’s a Straight black dress with a fun 20 inch gold zipper in the back. A couple of years ago I thought big visible zipper was ugly but it has really grown on me and now I think it’s very classy and pretty.
Good for you. I enjoyed sewing in high school. Looking forward to a new sewing maching this year. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Keep in mind, the pattern is reusable, and fabric goes on sale…once you have collected a few things, it won’t be quite so expensive…AND you get to have all of the details JUST the way you want them!! Like that gold zipper! Can’t wait to see the dress!!
