Yesterday we learned from Mary Kate what not to do on Black Friday, today I’ll tell you what to do (at least what I did)! Since I found out that I was going to be in Kentucky for Thanksgiving I started to save up for Black Friday shopping because I love shopping in new places. I had a mental list of things that I’ve been wanting for a while so those were the main goal yesterday. The basic list was boots, burgundy jeans, and long shirts/sweaters to wear with leggings. I am very happy to say that I got all of the above!
A personal rule that I have for myself at this point in my life is to spend no more than $20 on any piece of clothing, especially shirts, and I was very happy to stay within that range! What I was willing to spend more money on was good quality boots that I know I will wear for a long time. I had a hard time deciding on these Madden Girl combat boots because I wasn’t sure if I would wear them, but I feel confident that it was $50 well spent because I have already worn them with 2 outfits since I bought them yesterday afternoon! My biggest purchase of the day was these GORGEOUS riding boots that I had to order online from DSWbecause, unfortunately, they do not sell them in store anymore, but I will be excited to get them in the mail in a couple of days!
I also added to my collecting of button downs with a fun striped one from Ann Taylor and a polka dot one from Forever 21 . Finally on my list was burgundy jeans, and I was happy to find a great pair of jeggings from Arden B.. Everything else I got was either just for fun (like the nice black and gold short sleeved shirt, and then tote bag I for for free with the boots), or basics to add to my wardrobe (like skinny belts, leggings and a new pair of cheetah print flats). I would say that this is my most successful Black Friday to date!
