Today is a very exciting day!! It is six months of blogging and I can honestly say I would not take back a single day of it! The next 6 months are going to be VERY exciting so make sure that you keep reading.
For today I thought I would talk to you all about something I think about every time I’m thinking about buying something- cost per wear. While shopping and picking something out I think about what I have to go with it and if I go places that I would be able to wear it. I allow myself to spend a little more on something that I could wear everyday and try to avoid stocking up on things that are just pretty and unrealistic. My favorite example of cost per wear is this polka dot button down. It’s not only that I have worn it multiple times, it’s that I have found multiple ways to wear it. I wore it with a pencil skirt and gator accessories for post game day celebration , and another day with a fun pearl necklace. Since today is a big day for the blog I was very excited to wear the fashion blog mascot scarf! It was cold today so I added my blazer that was a hand-me-down from a swim coach a couple of years ago and I absolutely love wearing it. I was surprised at how much I loved this combination, it just makes me keep wanting to try new things that I wouldn’t expect normally! So let’s break down the cost per wear of this shirt, I bought it at TJ maxx for $16 (which is a great deal in itself) and in the couple of weeks that I have owned it I have warn it 4 times. That makes it $4 per wear! How amazing it that? And this is just the beginning of fall! There are multiple items in my wardrobe that I know if I broke down the cost per wear I would be into the pennies, those are the things that I never regret buying. So, just remember to think about that when you’re trying to decide whether you really need something or not.
On a side note, you are probably wondering why I added a picture of a sign today. I took my picture this afternoon after attending the beautiful Keith Watson Events Christmas shop open house so I thought I would share the love! 🙂 the Image Insight team gets to work with them at a lot of weddings and we are absolutely blown away at everything they do!
