This outfit was an “I wish I was at a Kentucky Derby party, but instead I’m at work” look. A flower pinned to my hair, a beaded tank and blazer said derby ready and green LOFT jeans with gold sandals were work appropriate.
A head piece is the most iconic part of the Kentucky Derby. I was SO close to finding the biggest, most amazing hat and rocking it at work, but I didn’t know how LOFT appropriate that would be. Instead I borrowed a fabric flower that may possible have been meant for a dog collar and pinned it into my hair. It was cute, worked with my outfit and it was a fun addition for Derby Day. This may be something I try again even without a holiday to wear it on!
