Even though tomorrow is the actual day of the Kentucky Derby, it is also ONE YEAR of daily blogs, so today I thought I’d talk about the highlight of my new home state’s year in today’s blog! Before I moved to Kentucky, the idea of watching horses run in circles was on the bottom of my list of things that I find interesting, now I’m wishing I could buy a big hat and go celebrate! Being me, my focus when attending races here in Lexington was the fashion, and that has not changed as I watch the news of the derby just to see what people are wearing. The races are fun, but in my opinion, they are just an excuse to make a fashion statement. Where else can you rock a HUGE hat with feathers, flowers, and bows? Go big of go home! I may have to get a hat just for fun. 🙂
