Tonight I had the opportunity to practice a smokey eye on another great friend of mine, Grace! As soon as she walked into my house holding this gorgeous gold sequin dress the first thought that popped into my head was SMOKEY EYE. Since I’m learning about the perfect way to do a smokey eye, I thought I would teach all of you. The basic idea is that it starts black by the eye lashes and “smokes” up from there. For Grace, I kept it light in the inside corner so her eyes didn’t look close set and then swooped grey along the rest of the lid. After that I lined her lid with black and then used black shadow to exaggerate the fade between black and grey. Of course, a good smokey eye is not complete without false lashes! Because the eyes are so dramatic, lips and cheeks stayed pretty neutral. This look is always in style and is the perfect night time look. Grace’s complete look is totally gorgeous and I know she is going to rock her homecoming dance tonight!
