Oh boy, this had been an interesting week and it’s only Wednesday! Yesterday (the day these pictures were taken) was one of the most stressful, yet uneventful, days ever. On Monday, my day off from school and work, it was beautiful and sunny with temperatures in the 50s. On Tuesday, the day I was supposed to go back to work and school, it was below freezing with snow up to my ankles. Usually this is just an annoyance that I have to get over, but since the public schools took a snow day, the roads surrounding my house were not plowed or salted. After hearing my dad’s driving report of “sliding five feet at every stop” and “drive around 10 MPH” I decided that even though I was dressed and ready to go to class, there was no way my little car would have make it out of the drive way. Instead I stayed home and edited some videos (Get Your Glam On event commercial HERE and bloopers HERE). After thinking that enough people had driven on the roads to have melted the ice I decided to tough it out and go to work. Bad idea. After slipping and sliding through the neighborhood I came to the conclusion that this was never going to work, so I turned around. Worse idea. That lead me to being caught on a patch of ice on a hill. “Mom, I’m stuck.” Lesson of the day- even if you are not planning on hanging out outside, always have a coat with a hood, gloves, heavy scarf and shoes with traction. Lucky I actually listened to my own advice yesterday!

Shhh Don’t tell anyone, but since this outfit never really left the house, I am probably going to wear it to work tomorrow! I was so excited to wear my new hunter green cords with a tan leather jacket, and I am not going to let a couple inches of snow stop me!
