I’m a bridal consultant!!
For the last few months I’ve hinted at my new job on here, and I’ve definitely talked about it on social media, but this is the official announcement that I’ve been waiting for!
After going through a few different career moves since arriving in NYC a year and a half ago I finally found one that totally feels right. I get to work with brides in the midst of their wedding mania and help them pick the most memorable dress of their lives. The job mixes my love of styling with my history producing bridal fashion shows and being Image Insight’s assistant wedding makeup artist for years.
I work for RK Bridal which is a family owned and run company in midtown Manhattan. They have totally taken me in as one of their own even though I had never sold a wedding dress before stepping in their doors!
Being away from my family of entrepreneurs, the RK family feels like home away from home for me. I have a place to learn, grow and best of all, play with wedding dresses all day!! Yes, I am the girl that has had her wedding planned since middle school so I’m more like a kid in a candy store than an adult clocking in and out of a 9-5.
Now that I’ve been around long enough to learn some of the ups and downs of dress shopping and general wedding planning I’d like to start my own version of Wedding Wednesdays! I’ve seen many bloggers and YouTuber’s that I follow start doing Wedding Wednesday while planning their wedding, but I want to give you tips from a bridal consultant’s prospective.
Once a month I’ll be sharing the best time to shop, what to look out for while on your bridal journey and so much more!
If you have any questions that you’d like to be addressed please feel free to leave them in the comments below or send me an email (Lauren@laurenallen.com) and I’ll be sure to answer them in the next Wedding Wednesday!
P.S. Follow me on Instagram ( @laurenallenstyle ) for my #OOTD posts on my stories and timeline. You’d be surprised how many outfits I can make out of head to toe black clothes! This outfit my my favorite, though, which is why I had to make sure to wear it for the big announcement.
Wow Lauren!! You have your Mom’s genes. She also shines in this area. And you have worked together in this venue for years. Keep me posted.
Love you
Anne
