Merry (day late) Christmas everyone! I hope you all had an amazing day with your loved ones. This year I appreciated all of my family’s silly little traditions more than ever before. Over the last few months I have been really sick and wasn’t sure if I’d be able to travel home for Christmas. Both of my parents made there way to NYC to take care of me, my dad over Thanksgiving and my mom just a few weeks after that. As much as I loved having them around, all I wanted for Christmas was to be back in Kentucky and out of my tiny little apartment.
After about 2 months of sweatpants and pajamas (yes, it was that bad), this outfit wasn’t a last minute throw-together. I had been looking forward to dressing up since I got the OK to fly home and this dress was the first one that came to mind. What I didn’t expect was for it to be below freezing on Christmas Eve, so I ended up layering a long sleeve polkadot body suit underneath the dress which turned out better than I expected!
Family time is always important to me, but this year it’s the little things that are more special than what is under the tree. We went to two different Christmas eve services, made home made Irish cream and saw The Greatest Showman after all of the Christmas morning festivities.
