My love of bright lipstick did not start until about 4 years ago when this blog came to life. I started to notice that the brighter the lipstick, the better I looked in blog pictures. Considering I blogged every single day that year, the lipstick became a habit just as much as daily blogging.
Red lipstick brings as much confidence out of women as a glass of wine. You don’t have to have lip fillings and high heels to rock this look. I love it just as much with jeans and a tee as I do with an LBD.
I also have to admit that I’m pretty sure this lip hue has helped me get ahead in my career. No, I am not ashamed of this and I never plan to stop the grind. Research shows that “By bringing attention to your mouth you are also encouraging people to focus more on what you are saying and really listen effectively.” This encourages people to use more senses to hear what you’re saying, ensuring they will remember what you were talking about.
No matter your age, occupation or even outfit, there is a bright shade of lipstick out there for you. Go find it and wear it when you need an extra boost of confidence. What you have to say is important, make sure that people are listening!
