The event that I have been waiting my whole spring break for finally arrived today! This event would be the opening reception fashion show for the Stitch Art exhibit at the Headley-Whitney Museum. Image Insight made up some of the beautiful models for this show, and I was there as a stylist/general helper. I just love being around all of the motivated and focused people. While at school and at work I am never really around people who are passionate about fashion, so being around people with the same love as me is thrilling.
One of my jobs today was to help make tissue paper dresses for mannequins lining the stage. I kind of felt like my favorite little girl, Mayhem, while I was covered in paper and tape.
For this exciting day I wore my favorite Sorjet jacket (after sewing up the pocket after ripping it during one of the least graceful moments of my life) with leather shorts, tights, combat boots and a silk tank adding a fun pop of color to the outfit. I have been thinking about this outfit since buying this outfit, and it worked out exactly how I wanted to which made me oh so happy.
